Exclusive: ‘Birth Mom’ struggles to give up baby

Giving birth isn’t an easy process, but for the young women featured in the upcoming TLC special “Birth Moms,” it’s nothing compared to what they face after they’ve given birth.

The special focuses on the difficult dilemma three pregnant women struggle with while residing at an adoption center in Utah. And if this emotion-packed, exclusive sneak peek is anything to go by, difficult doesn’t really begin to describe it.

Before giving birth to a healthy baby boy, 19-year-old Taylor admitted that, despite her unwanted pregnancy, she was having doubts about adoption process.

“I’m most nervous about the delivery, and like, how my feelings will be after I have him,” she explained. “I’m not excited to just hand my child over to (the family that wants to adopt him). I’m just not excited for the whole thing. I can’t say that I’m definitely going to give my baby to the family.”

The delivery proves her nervousness was well founded. Moments after giving birth, Taylor clapped her hands over her ears while the baby cried.

“I was covering my ears and closing my eyes so I wouldn’t hear him and I wouldn’t see him, but I just could hear him still,” she explained. “When I opened my eyes, he was right there in front of me.”

That moment rocked the teen.

“The first thought I had was, ‘I don’t want to leave him,’” she recalled through tears. “I didn’t want him to go anywhere. I wanted to hold him, and I didn’t want anybody else to take him from me.”

Ultimately, the real challenge for Microsoft may be translating those successes into real improvements for its so-so market share.

Verizon ICS update schedule leaks: Rezound, RAZR and Xoom being tested now

While there are already vague Android update plans for Verizon-connected Samsung devices, a leaked screen from somewhere within the Big Red bunker has offered up some more details. It looks like the Rezound, Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx are closest to the upgrade finish-line with testing likely to finish by May 7th for the HTC model and May 17th for the Motorola duo. According to Droid Life, Verizon’s Motorola Xoom (you know, the Android tablet) is getting its update direct from Google, but it hasn’t been deigned worthy of a concrete release date. A handful of software updates are also pegged for the likes of the Bionic, Thunderbolt, Revolution, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Xperia Play, but they look likely to be more incremental than outright OS upgrades. When Facebook first announced Offers you we’re probably wondering if there was even room for yet another coupon service. Between Google, Groupon, Yelp, Living Social and countless others we’re not entirely sure there’s a niche left untapped for Facebook, but that isn’t going to stop Zuck and crew from trying. The service is officially rolling out as we speak, and offering its wares to any business with a Facebook page, regardless of size. The hope is that it’ll catch on with smaller businesses in particular, which will now have an easy way to place deals directly into user’s news feeds.
